The Museum of Words is the main tool and patrimony of the César Egido Serrano Foundation, for the achievement of its aims; a non-profit private foundation, of a cultural, non-denominational, and absolutely independent nature that does not solicit or receive subsidies or aid from any public or private Institution. It is financed with its own resources.
The Museum of Words supports and fosters dialogue between different cultures, ideas, religions and sensibilities. The result and the existence of this dialogue are in themselves a museum piece, and it is configured as a meeting place, the only virtual museum in the world where nothing is exhibited, and exists on internet, carrying out and transferring its cultural activities from that platform, to the whole world.
As a tool of the César Egido Serrano Foundation it allows, through the development of activities, whose protagonist are words (spoken, written or in its various manifestations), to promote understanding among different peoples, ideologies, religions and cultures.
The Museum Words, a Palace-residence, in the heart of the Cervantes route, the nerve center of cultural activity, a place suitable for study, exchange and meeting, emblem of the César Egido Serrano Foundation.
Its main objective is to value a basic concept: "The word is the bond between peoples and language is the structure that unites us and distinguishes us as human beings". The word thus becomes the main tool of culture, understanding and relaxation. As long as the word - dialogue - is the priority in relations aimed at overcoming conflicts, violence will be exceptional.
