The event was attended by the winner, writer, and theatrical producer from New York, Devlin Elliott, the Mexican author Tere de las Casas Mariaca, winner in Spanish, the Moroccan Mohamed Haddach, winner in Arabic, and the Israeli Noam Shalit, winner in Hebrew.

The President of Castilla-La Mancha thanked for the César Egido Serrano Foundation designation of the Fuensalida Palace, headquarters of the region´s presidency, for the delivery of these awards and "The will and intention" of them, highlighting the intention to promote "The word as a concept of dialogue, as a method to resolve conflicts ".

In his speech, César Egido Serrano has stated that "We live in the century of understanding." And he has stressed that the word "Must be the tool of peace, against violence, and discord." Egido concluded by saying that "Castilla La Mancha is a land of harmony, peace and cordiality".
