I am convinced that the twenty-first Century will be the one of understanding. The word should be the link of humanity and the only way to solve conflicts must be the dialogue. It is the duty of today’s generation to ensure the security of generations to come.
But we must make resources available for the coming years: Intellectual, economic resources but also energy and enthusiasm.

I know that it is not an easy task, but the 20th century has been one of the bloodiest in history, but has also taught us some lessons. In this century, awareness, commitment and the conviction that the word is the bond of humanity and that is why the III World War never happened in spite of the continuous threats.
The word has to be the bond of Humankind
I belong to a generation of Spaniards who have not incited wars. A country that has taken centuries engaged in strife, and, to a lesser extent, in international conflicts. This is not the result of random, and my hope is based on them. This is my conviction. And it is because my generation played the impossible worlds and this gave result. We allied with music, wrote slogans on the walls that seemed impossible, we talked about utopia, put carnations before rifles: the response of this generation with its utopian ideals around the world managed that impossible became real in many cases.
Time has passed; utopia is now a real possibility. But there is still a lot to be done. We must continue dreaming and making resources available. And, this little grain of sand is what the foundation provides to collaborate with the patronage of peace, understanding and dialogue.
Peace is not a wish, we write, use some ideology. I have spent 30 years of my professional life dedicated to sponsoring and patronage in Spain.
I put my professional and business efforts into this area. This experience led me to a conclusion: there are tasks requiring the selfless contribution of those who can. It is time I return something back to society. Over the years I have been a specialist in obtaining resources for projects of cultural or social content. Now I want to give part of my heritage to society, for what I consider are fair ideas. This is the main reason why I created this Foundation, a Foundation whose essence is society. Therefore all activities of the Foundation César Egido Serrano are financed with own resources and we do not request subsidies or aid to any institution public or private.
That is why all the activities that the Foundation starts with its action tool (Museum of the Word), are aimed to the promotion of those ideas. And I would like that everyone who thinks the same way joins our house. This house will be a meeting place for those ideas. Ideas, that most of the people could consider unrealistic. Like years ago some ideas seemed to be, and nowadays nobody find them strange.
